Great story - my Aunt Janet had vasovagal syncope, same thing, usually dehydration was the trigger. My mom's cousin Nora suffered from it when she fainted while driving a year or two ago, lost control and drove across lanes of traffic and luckily was saved in the crash by her airbag with no more than a broken wrist. Very very scary. Like you say, surprisingly common.
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing that. How scary! Some have suggested wearing a medical ID bracelet for it (esp to alert medics no Narcan is needed). I’ve been against it but maybe I’m wrong.
